June 28 – Belfast Squadron Leader flew 87 operations, 25 over Berlin. Roll of Honour

Five die this day at Gallipoli in 1915, three are Inniskillings from Derry, Coleraine, and Cookstown. Eight RAF named from WW2 died over Burma, France, and Italy. Today’s Veteran – an RN Medic washed overboard in WW1 served in army WW2 and later became Senior Surgeon at both the Belfast Infirmary and the Ulster Hospital for Children and Women.
