July 4 – WW1 Memorial records. NI men lost in HMS Foylebank WW2. Roll of Honour

The Books of the Dead record Irish fallen of WW1. HMS Foylebank, an anti-aircraft vessel, was sunk in a Luftwaffe trial for the Battle of Britain. 14 NI men were lost in her with an RN VC. Seven RAF die this day, five of them over foreign lands including the first of two brothers from Craigavad lost on operations
