August 6 – HMS Amphion – the first RN loss of the first war. Roll of Honour

Today is the anniversary of the first RN ship lost in WW1 and the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japan in WW2. In today’s Roll, there is a graphic eye witness account of Gallipoli by Basil Cowan from Dunmurry. Robert Lynn of Coalisland was one of four brothers to die in WW1 in Belgium, France, and Israel.
