
Two brothers are named on Holywood War Memorial. Lieutenant Theo Caldwell completed two year’s training with the QUB OTC. He then served in banks in Belfast and London and was commissioned in the Royal Fusiliers. He was awarded the Military Cross. He died on this day in 1916. His brother Lieutenant Walter H Calwell who was working in Canada returned to serve with the Royal Irish Rifles. He was killed on the 27/08/1918.
