In today’s Roll, William Beggs, a Royal Marine from Belfast who fought in Gallipoli and the defence of Antwerp in WW1. 19 year old Basil Pollock, who left Campbell College in 1939, died piloting his plane over Norway in 1940. David Tees a naval reserve officer from HMS Caroline died in a plane crash on way to new post in Malta. Four who died on this date in Italy in 1943 include William James Warren of Ballymena, and John White from Belfast.
