December 21. Royal Marine’s oustanding record in WW2. Roll of Honour

Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy where rest the remains of Lance Corporal William McBride from Broughshane, who served with the Corps of Military Police, 1st (Airborne) Div. Today’s veteran is Thomas Maxwell from Belfast and Newtownards who served with the Special Boat Squadron of the Royal Marines, seeing action from the Kola Peninsula in the Arctic to Malta, India and Burmah. Four on today’s Roll are buried in cemeteries in Northern Ireland.
