
Today’s Roll includes accounts of former Inst student Ralph Ireland a young RN officer lost in heavy seas in 1917and William Darragh from Cookstown who died in HMS Grenville in 1940. Harry Christie, DSO, MC died in Italy in 1944. A teacher in Strandtown Primary school, he is thought to be the ‘most decorated Inniskilling.’ There are six RAF personnel in today’s Roll. There are 3439 Commonwealth servicemen of the First World War buried or commemorated in the cemetery.
