
Today’s Roll includes John Gray from Portstewart who died of wounds in Egypt in 1915 after service with Royal Marines in Gallipoli. James Hetherington from Moy and Robert Howe from Cookstown emigrated to Canada. Both died in 1916 serving with Canadian infantry. In 1940 Matthew Allen, Thomas Majurey, and Hugh Thompson from Belfast and the Royal Ulster Rifles died after returning wounded from Dunkirk. Their remains rest in Belfast City Cemetery, Glenalina Extension. John Duffy from Jerrettspass died in Equatorial Guinea serving with the RAF. His service and funeral in Santa Isabel on Fernando Po are featured.
