June 19. Belfast RAF man spent year with Belgian underground. Roll of Honour

After crash landing in Belgium, Belfast RAF man, Walter Berry, stayed from May 44 until liberation with the underground. In 1944 North Irish Horsemen, William Hill from Portrush and Archie Jackson from Londonderry died in Assisi, Italy. On the same day, five RUR died in Normandy. In today’s Roll is a tribute by Major JW Hyde sent to the parents of Jimmy McBride from Belfast, who had eleven years service with RUR. Photo – Poperinge New Military Cemetery.
