July 11. Guitar symbol of friendship between NI Battle of Britain pilots. Roll of Honour

A guitar became a memorial of friendship between NI pilots Noel Corry, Sydney Ireland, George Calwell, and their colleagues. RBAI, a Belfast school, had seven former pupils in “The Few”. In WW1 Hayden Floyd, a doctor’s son from Kilkeel died with the Royal Flying Corps in 1916. In WW2 Reggie Morgan an officer with the Royal Ulster Rifles died at Sainte-Honorine in Normandy in 1944.
