November 19. War cemetery in moated chateau grounds. Roll of Honour

Bedford House Cemetery is sited at a former country house in a small wooded park with moats. The fallen remembered on this day lie in Egypt, Greece, and France. Harold Black from Ballycastle served with Canadian infantry in WW1. John Fry from Upperlands returned from Canada to England to enlist early in the war. Wounded in action he died at Toxteth Military Hospital, Liverpool, in 1916. Harold Black from Ballycastle served with Canadian infantry in WW1. He died in 1917 and is remembered at Etaples Military Cemetery, France. Hugh McGreeghan from Comber was a horse team driver with the Royal Field Artillery. Aged 18 he was a victim of pneumonia in 1918. Armoured Corps officer Francis Charles died on the first day of the battle of Alamein in 1941. He was the son of a WW1 medical officer from Cookstown. Thomas Buchanan from Lisburn, also a WW1 medical officer was a centre of mystery as to whether or not he had been killed. On two occasions he was mentioned in despatches from Palestine.
