On this night in 1940 London was bombed. For 56 nights thereafter air raids continued. On this day in 1945, an Allied Victory parade was held in Berlin. Among the veterans remembered today is the remarkable 99 year old Martin `Tina’ Charters (photo), one of NI’s survivors from the Second World War, and a hero of so many Bomber Command flights.
